 So I was craving for some korean food and I chanced upon O.bba Jajajang located in Tanjong Pagar. There was quite a number of people on a Thursday 1pm. I took a queue number and waited outside with the rest of the people. When it was my turn, I went in with my friends, and was told that we are limited to 1 hour eating time due to the large number of people in the queue.  We weren't feeling hungry and because of the one hour eating time limit, we ordered a small portion of food. So here is what we ordered: This is the signature jajangmyeon Sundubu Jjigae - Spicy Soft Tofu Stew The usual korean Makkoli I am not a fan of Jajangmyeon  but this is the best Jajangmyeon I have eaten in Singapore. I was pleasantly suprised by how tasty it is. It has the right amount of sweetness and saltiness the noodle can have. No wonder there is a long queue of people waiting to get in.  On the other hand, the spicy Toufu Stew  Sundubu Jjigae was just ok, not super fantastic, j...

 So I went to Kovan last week, and one of the must-trys over there is the Ponggol Nasi Lemak. Not sure why they spell Punggol as Ponggol. Anyway, I tried the Set Menu 2 - which consists of Fried Chicken, Luncheon Meat, cucumber, ikan bilis and fried egg - $4.80 So what's so special? Well, rice has the pandan taste, fried egg is runny like those at the cai png stall, nothing special. Fried chicken is really like any other freshly fried chicken I ate at the hawker centre nasi lemak stall. The only special is the Luncheon Meat. It is awesomely special, and it is so nice I do not know how to describe it, and I have not tasted it anywhere else before.  The chili which is usually the star of the Nasi Lemak however is also not tasty and addictive like others I have tried.  What's so special about it? I think it's the luncheon meat and nothing else. 

I realized this happens when I use pyinstaller with Pandas module: PyInstaller Error: RecursionError: maximum recursion depth exceeded  It works fine with other modules I had. "Where do you find Put Chai Ko (   缽仔糕 ) in Singapore?"  my friend from Hong Kong asked me. I finally found it at the Honolulu Cafe at Westgate. It comes in two flavour, normal sugar and brown sugar ($2.40). The brown sugar really tastes better than the normal sugar one. These are rare in Singapore, probably because Singaporeans prefer Chwee Kueh. Haha.

I ordered the Green Milk Tea from Bobii Fruitii.  Unlike other bubble tea, it came with a lid that can be easily opened, like those you buy from Kopitiam.  This bubble tea really tastes quite different from other milk tea out there.  It is too milky for my liking.  Most likely I won't buy it again.  Rating 2/5 Bobii Frutii Singapore  The Clementi Mall, 3155 Commonwealth Ave West,  #04-K4, Singapore 129588  Opening Hours: Mon-Sun 10am – 10pm

This is another popular bubble tea from Taiwan Winnie's open its branch in One North. I tried the Black Sugar Oolong Milk Tea ($3.10/$.4.10) and Black Sugar Milk Tea ($3.10/$4.10). While you can't choose the sugar level, you can choose the level of ice. Default is 50% ice. The bubble tea comes with a cute plastic bag which can be easily reusable. I find that the Black Sugar Oolong Milk Tea tastes nicer than the  Black Sugar Milk Tea and strangely I prefer this to the Bubble Tea from Tiger Sugar and I don't have to wait for 1 hour for my drink :D Rating: 4/5 Winnie's Galaxis, Fusionopolis Pl, #01-34 Singapore 138522 Mon-Fri 9am - 930pm

They have been raving about this bubble tea for a long time, and I finally got to try it yesterday. The best seller is the Brown Sugar Boba Milk with Cream Mousse ($5.30). It really takes 1 hour for our number to be called, because 'they ran out of cups.' We are supposed to shake 15 times before drinking it. Color is really quite beautiful :D I have to say that this bubble tea tastes different from the other brown sugar bubble tea out there. The Boba or Pearls are quite chewy and fun to chew. The milk tea is really unique. Will I drink it again?
