1Gravity Review - Tanjong Pagar & Chinatown Point
I bought a Fave deal from fave.com for hair rebond
$49 seems a good deal!
So I made an appointment and went to the Tanjong pagar branch - located conveniently in Guoco Tower. It is really convenient, you just walk out from the MRT and find it at #B1-16
The lady who helped me was Belle. She did a great job rebonding my hair with the Bioma Straightening hair treatment but she kept nagging and psycho-ing me to buy a package from her. Really hard sell. I did because I know I need to do regular rebonding. I used it for a few times and finally had a session left.
And recently I made an appointment at the Chinatown branch for a change.
The lady serving me was Jess. She said Bioma treatment has lots of chemicals and she recommended the K-Gloss S4 treatment. She kept on raving how good it is, blah blah blah. So ok Bioma rebonding is bad for me, I will try the K-Gloss S4 treatment.
After the treatment, my hair is really smooth, really like rebonded. The person doing was quite pro too and there were many customers in the shop. No wonder they grow to so many branches so quickly.
Hopefully it is really good for my scalp. However after the session they really try to hardsell again - but seeing that I need to do frequent treatment to my hair due to the curl and fizziness, I gave in - not before I bargained for additional scalp treatment. They gave 3 scalp treatment but I asked for an additional one haha. I think if I asked for additional two sessions they might gave too. They also threw in 2 shampoo for free.
They asked me my age and my occupation to gauge my affordability. I tell you better don't tell anyone these two. Say "I am a student" and they wont sell you as much.
After treatment at these two branches, I think the better branch would be at Tanjong Pagar, where the stylists are more skilled and professional.
Also they need to improve in their IT systems.
They write everything in a hardcopy cardboard and put it in their file. Who else in this day and age still do this?
I tell you what they can do:
- Get a webserver from AWS
- Install free MySQL Server in the webserver
- One time Data Entry to store all customer details into database
- Build a webpage to query and update customer details
Above is easy - give me free hair treatments I will do it for you haha. But of course you have to pay for the AWS server yourself haha.
In conclusion, will I go back to 1Gravity - definitely, I already bought the package.
Chinatown Point branch or Tanjong Pagar Branch is better? I would say Tanjong Pagar.
Maybe I will visit other branches and do a review. Haha.👍
