Running Review: Passion Run 2012 - 21K

When : 11 Nov 2012, 7am Where : East Coast Park Weather : Cloudy & Sunny In short, it was quite a well organised race. The volunteers were very encouraging, especially during the last 5km of the race when many of us were feeling quite tired. Many water points along the route but the isotonic drinks were already finished when I reach 12km onwards. Nevertheless, with the good weather, encouraging volunteers and sufficient water points, Passion run 2012 is a good and well-organised race. :) Pre-race: Register at the website early to enjoy the early-bird fees On the race pack collection day: At Novena square, the queue was long, waiting time was about 20 mins. Like other events' race pack collection days, there were booth selling sponsors' products Inside the race pack Brooks running singlet Brooks laptop backpack (which is nice except for the big words "100 PLUS PASSION RUN  2012" written in front) A pair of newton socks Paypal towel Personalised n

Pre-Race: Before the run, training runs were organised to prepare runners for the event On the race pack collection day: - There were activities for u to take part in - You can also exchange your race shirt for the right size if you found out that your shirt is too small/big. This is good news, I am one of those who exchange my shirt for a bigger one. (The race shirt is nice, so is the finisher tee) - If you are within the first 300 people at the booth, you can customize your shirt Race Day: - Run is held in City Hall Area - Water points - 100 Plus / Ice mountain available - After the race you get a Finisher Tee, which I personally think is more useful that a finisher's medal - You can take photos at the pho
