Secrets on How to Sell and Make More Money on Carousell

Many know that you can make extra money by selling your second hand items or gifts on Carousell, but how do you increase the likelihood of your items being sold? How do you reach out to more audience and increase the visibility of your items? Here are some secrets imparted to me by my friend who was quite successful selling products on Carousell..  1. Take nice photos of your products before uploading them - Photos should be professional and show the beauty/visibility of your product. Take the photo and see it through the perspective of a buyer. If you yourself wont buy what's is shown in the picture, chances are no one else will.  - You can enhance the photos using free Apps such as FotoRus and PicsArt 2.  'Like' products of other Users - Liking products of other users will notify those users that you liked them. Most users will be curious who like their product and check out your profile. They will then see what you are selling and contact you if they

Riders cafe review

Image
It's a place that is tucked in the heart of Bukit Timah, where you go to after a nice horse ride. Nevertheless, I went there not because I rode on a horse, but because I heard great reviews of that place. True to its name, it is a peaceful place, nice ambience and friendly staff. I ordered Riders burger (with Angus beef).  I ordered it Medium rare. Burger was juicy and delicious! It wasnt too oily or too raw, it was cooked just right. Fries were crispy and tasty. Food was amazing :-) The waitress came by and checked if we were satisfied with our food. In short, it was excellent. Rating: 5/5 Address: Riders Cafe 51 Fairways Drive Singapore 286965

Review: Sakura Congee & Chicken Rice at Bukit Panjang Hawker Centre

Image
Heard that Bukit Panjang has a newly opened Hawker Centre.. it's the first in Bukit Panjang.. Off I go and see what it is nice.. So one choice that wont go wrong: Chicken Rice.. and look, it says Sakura also! :D<3 japan="" p=""> So I went to offer a plate of Sakura Chicken Rice ($2.80)... from Stall 21, Sakura Congee & Chicken Rice Chicken was so so, I was actually rather disappointed. Rice isn't oily but it isn't as fragrant as other chicken rice from other hawker centres. No sakura taste (What does sakura taste like?), Chili does not taste nice either, it tasted as if it has been there a long time. Ginger was ok, with tinge of spiciness which one expects of a young ginger. The stall sells fried tumeric chicken rice too.. which tasted delicious (especially its chili) according to my friend. Maybe I shall try it next time.

Image
My Macbook Pro decided to die on me.. and I have to go to the QCD Technologies for a repair.. No more warranty.. but let's go anyway.. there's a free diagnostic test anyway :P I decided to check out their new service centre at Boon Lay Way which is between Clementi and Jurong East MRT.. it's great for those living in the west.. no longer have to travel down to Wheelock.. Here's the address: QCD Technologies 8@TradeHub21 8 Boon Lay Way, #02-08 Singapore 609964 Tel: +65 6515 2010 Hotline Operating Hours: (Mon - Fri) 11.00am - 5pm You can't do any e-booking through their website, you have to go down and take a queue number.. Waiting time was about 20 mins for me.. considerably ok as I have once waited for more than an hour in Wheelock! (Better to book an appointment if you are heading there) Service at QCD@Tradehub21 is almost the same as that in Orchard.. they greet u.. perform test.. etc. Anyway back to QCD at 8Tradehub21.. Place is exactly relativ

Wong Kee Wanton Noodles Review

Image
Finally had lunch at Timbre+... There were three kind of Wanton Noodles... the normal original egg noodles, spinach noodles as well as the Tomato noodles. The spinach noodles were more of the savoury taste while the Tomato noodles are sweeter in taste. Here's the well raved Wong Kee Tomato Wanton Noodles ($4.50) Would come back again!! But will come earlier (probably at around 11:15am) as the lunch crowd is really scary.. this stall is really popular! Remember to return your tray to get your $1 deposit! :-) Rating: 4.5/5 Wong Kee Wanton Noodles & Roasted Delights Timbre+  #01-06 Mon-Sat 8am-6pm

COMNAM Broken Rice Vietnamese Street Eats, Raffles City Review

Image
Missed Vietnamese food after a trip to Vietnam so I headed over to the Vietnamese restaurant in Raffles City - COMMAM Broken Rice.. I ordered the Sautéed Lemongrass Pork Slices ($9.00++) The rice bowl looks really nice but it was really so so.. Broken rice is not as tasty as the normal rice, and the meal is not as tasty as the Vietnamese meals I had in Hanoi (although it is much more expensive here!!) Don't think I will visit this restaurant again.. unless there's no choice.. Rating: 3.5/5 COMMAM Vietnamese Street Eats 252 North Bridge Road, #B1-46/47 Raffles City Shopping Centre, Singapore 179103 Phone: 6334 7377 Hours: 8am-10pm

Hungrywich (Fusionopolis) Review

Image
Went for lunch at Fusionopolis... at Hungrywich. It is centrally located at B1Connexis, near the One North MRT, making it easy for one to find. I ordered the Tuna sandwich ($6.50). You can top up $4.50 to make it a set (which includes a drink and Muffin/Soup of the day) which I didn't. Although the sandwich was not as filling as the Subway's Tuna sandwich, and the variety of vegetables were not as varied as Subway's,  it was definitely more delicious than Subway's Tuna sandwich. The place has a cosy setting, which makes it an ideal place to have lunch with colleagues or friends. Rating: 4/5 Hungrywich 1 Fusionpolis Way Connexis Tower #B1-03/04 Singapore 138632 Opening Hours: Mon to Sat 8am- 8pm Tel: 64679602 Website:  http://www.hungrywichs.com.sg/

PappaRich Westgate (Jurong East) Review

Image
Went to had a dinner at Westgate.. everywhere is full except for PappaRich.. It seems to be telling something.. Anyway I went into this Malaysian restaurant with my friend. It was a place without air-con, and the place was cooled by ceiling fans. I ordered Char Kway Teow ($9.90), Satay and Chicken Wings. The Char Kway Teow was on the salty side, without any wok-hei taste. It was just so-so. Satay was nice.. but there are nicer satay out there. Chicken wings were not fantastic, it was quite salty, and dripping with oil. The food in this place is only so-so. I went in only because other restaurants were full. Overall Rating: 2.5/5 PappaRich Address: 3 Gateway Link, #03-06/06A Westgate, 608532 Phone:6465 9586 Hours: 10AM–10PM

TACHINOMIYA 立ち飲み屋 Review

Image
Went to a small Japanese restaurant in the neighbourhood of Kovan. Lunch set was $7.90 ++. Choice of Asparagus and Shitake /Cheese Chicken Katsu /Saba Fish / Gyu Steak + a drink. Hot Tea  Cheese Chicken Katsu Asparagus and Shitake Food was just ok.. normal, not fantastic and not horrible. My only gripe is that the food comes in a paper box which shouldn't be the case for restaurant food. It's a non air con restaurant.  Overall Rating:  3/5 Tachinomiya 211 Hougang St 21, #01-285 Tel:  6286 0738 Opening hours:  Lunch: 11.30am – 2.30pm Dinner: 5.30pm - 12am (Mon-Thurs, Sun), 5.30pm - 1am (Fri) 5.30pm - 2am (Sat & Eve of Public holiday)

Erich's Wuerstelstand Review

Image
Went to Erich's Wuerstelstand, which claims to be the last sausage kiosk before the equator. Tried their sausage which is rather delicious and value for money ($3.50). Their muffins costs $2 per pcs which is rather reasonable. It is highly rated by both foreigners and the locals. Value for money sausages.. who says you need to go to a expensive German restaurant to eat nice sausages? They have relocated from the roadside stall to a proper store at a coffee shop. Erich's Wuerstelstand  Blk 5 Banda Street- 01-52  K88 Coffee house  Tel: 9627 4081  Opening hrs: 11am - 9pm.

Little Guilin (Xiao Guilin) - Park connector in Singapore

Image
Little Guilin, also known as the Bukit Batok Town Park is actually located in between Bukit Batok and Bukit Gombak.  It is easily accessible via the park connectors - You can cycle from Jurong east to Bukit Batok to Bukit Gombak. If you take the MRT, just alight at Bukit Gombak station.  What to see? Just a little granite rock sitting on a lake.  Not many tourists there... a few people taking selfies with the rock. Is it worth going? There's nothing much except there is no other place to find this rare view of granite rock in a lake in Singapore. Once is enough..
