Review: Sakura Congee & Chicken Rice at Bukit Panjang Hawker Centre
Heard that Bukit Panjang has a newly opened Hawker Centre.. it's the first in Bukit Panjang..
Off I go and see what it is nice..
So one choice that wont go wrong: Chicken Rice.. and look, it says Sakura also! :D<3 japan="" p="">
So I went to offer a plate of Sakura Chicken Rice ($2.80)... from Stall 21, Sakura Congee & Chicken Rice
Chicken was so so, I was actually rather disappointed. Rice isn't oily but it isn't as fragrant as other chicken rice from other hawker centres. No sakura taste (What does sakura taste like?), Chili does not taste nice either, it tasted as if it has been there a long time. Ginger was ok, with tinge of spiciness which one expects of a young ginger.
The stall sells fried tumeric chicken rice too.. which tasted delicious (especially its chili) according to my friend. Maybe I shall try it next time.
