Best time to go:
December - weather is cool, Christmas sales and fairs/exhibitions :D
Advisable to book early, air tickets will increase as time passes

Best supermarket to visit:
MBK supermarket on level 4- by far the cheapest
Nearest BTS: National Stadium
Opening hours: 10am-10pm

Best breakfast:
Crepes & Co
- yes this is not thai food, but this restaurant's affordable crepes are worth a try.
- 2nd Feb is the international Crepes day, be sure to drop by :D

 

Lemon curd Crepes and Moroccan Mint tea.

- 8 Thonglor building, ground floor, 88 Thonglor Soi 8 (nearest BTS: Thonglor)
- 59/4 Soi Langsuan, (Langsuan Soi 1) (nearest BTS: ploenchit, but quite a distance walk)

- No doubt the best Pad Thai

Best value for money restaurant:
Inter Restaurant
If you have only one restaurant to try with limited budget, go to the Inter restaurant.
Prices of the food are affordable - from 65 THB to 150 THB.
Recommended dishes include: Pad Thai, Green Curry, Basil stir-fried chicken with rice, Tom-yum soup, Fried Chicken wings.
Nearest BTS: Siam

If you ever got onto the a MRT station you will probably hear this phrase "Sila ambil perhatian demi keselamatan anda harap bediri di belakang garisan kuning." Haha, yes, it is the Malay version of "Your attention please, Please stand behind the yellow line." What I realised is that many people follow the instructions by standing behind the yellow line, but not the yellow arrows. Even though they drew arrows on the ground, many people are still standing at the centre, wanting to get into the train at the very first moment the MRT doors open. Haha. Do u agree?

Put Chai Ko In Singapore

"Where do you find Put Chai Ko (   缽仔糕 ) in Singapore?"  my friend from Hong Kong asked me. I finally found it at the Honolulu Cafe at Westgate. It comes in two flavour, normal sugar and brown sugar ($2.40). The brown sugar really tastes better than the normal sugar one. These are rare in Singapore, probably because Singaporeans prefer Chwee Kueh. Haha.
